Local SEO for financial advisors that fills your calendar with first meetings

Most advisory firms are invisible in Google's map results for their own metro, and missing from AI answers. We fix that. Local SEO for financial advisors, content, and technical work for one flat $1,500 a month, with every page reviewed by your compliance officer before it goes live. No contract, so if we are not earning it, you cancel.

Why SEO matters for an advisory firm

When someone gets a severance package, sells a business, or finally decides their retirement needs a plan, they reach for their phone. They type "fee-only financial planner near me" or "retirement planning advisor [city]" and book a meeting with one of the first firms they trust. If your firm is sitting on page 3 (or worse, page 7) you are not even in the conversation.

The advisory firm across town that shows up in the map pack and the top three organic results? They are getting those meetings. Same metro. Same credentials. Different marketing. SEO is what gets you into that conversation. Not a seminar. Not a LinkedIn post. Not a shared introduction from a platform that matches the same prospect with three other advisors.

SEO puts your firm in front of people who are actively looking for what you do, in the exact metro you serve, at the moment they are ready to talk. And unlike paid ads, the inquiries do not disappear the second you stop writing checks. SEO compounds. The work we do this month makes next month stronger. And the month after that.

And search now includes AI. In 2026, 45% of US consumers used an AI tool like ChatGPT to find a local business, up from 6% the year before (BrightLocal). Those tools build their answers from the same things SEO works on: your Google Business Profile, your website, and your listings. Good SEO is now how you get into AI answers too. How AI search works for advisors.

It is the only marketing channel that builds equity in your firm over time.

Local SEO for financial advisors

The regular organic results are only half the game. For a local professional like an advisor, the Google Map Pack (those three business listings with the map that appear above everything else) gets seen before anything else on the page.

Where most first meetings start

Local SEO for advisors is a different discipline than general SEO. It is about three things: your Google Business Profile, your local citations, and your reputation, handled the compliant way.

When a prospect types "fiduciary financial advisor near me" or "financial planner in [your city]," we make sure your firm is the one Google puts in front of them.

Not buried on page 3. Not missing from the map. Right there, front and center, with a complete profile, a clear fee page, and credentials a prospect can verify in one tap.

Your GBP is your storefront

We optimize every field: the "Financial planner" or "Financial consultant" category, your metro service area, your description, hours, photos of your office and team, and regular posts that signal activity. Most advisory firms set up their profile once and never touch it again. That is why they do not show up.

Citations are your footprint

Every directory listing, every professional profile, every local business database that mentions your firm name, address, and phone number reinforces your legitimacy to Google. We build and clean up these citations so the name on your website matches the name on your regulatory and directory profiles everywhere.

Reputation, the compliant way

Google weighs reviews heavily in local rankings, but for an RIA a review is a testimonial under the SEC Marketing Rule. We never ask for reviews on your behalf without your compliance sign-off. Instead we make your credentials, your fee page, and your process easy for a prospect to verify, and we document whatever reputation strategy your CCO approves.

What our local SEO for financial advisors includes

What we actually do. (in plain English)

Local SEO & GBP

We optimize your Google Business Profile so you show up in the map pack (the three listings that appear above the regular results). It sits above everything else, so it gets seen first. We handle categories, service area, photos, and regular posts so Google sees your firm as active and relevant in your metro.

On-page optimization

Every page on your site gets optimized for the searches your prospects actually type. Title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, image alt text, and schema markup. The technical pieces that tell Google and AI tools exactly what your firm does, who it serves, and where.

Content strategy

We build out pages for the clients you want (retirement planning, business owners, physicians), the questions prospects ask ("fee-only vs fee-based," "how much does a financial advisor cost"), and the metro you serve. Not filler. Not AI slop. Every page goes to your compliance reviewer first.

Technical SEO

A slow, broken, or mobile-unfriendly site kills your rankings. We handle site speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile optimization, and crawlability so Google has zero reasons to push you down. Your site loads fast, works on every device, and stays clean under the hood.

Link building & citations

Backlinks are how Google measures trust. We build real links from professional directories, local business listings, and relevant publications. Not spam. Every citation is consistent with your firm name, address, and phone number so Google trusts your location data.

Tracking & reporting

You see exactly what is happening. Keyword rankings, organic traffic, consultation requests, and where every call and form came from. Monthly reports in plain English. No jargon, no vanity metrics, no hundred-page PDFs that say nothing.

What a new client actually costs (by channel)

Not all channels are created equal. Here is what it costs to win one client across the most common channels advisors use, measured against the first-year revenue that client brings in.

COST STABILITY ANALYSIS

Your cost should not depend on your client mix.

What it costs to win one client, as a percentage of that client’s first-year advisory revenue, in two typical scenarios.

A $150k client at 1% ($1,500 a year) A $500k client at 1% ($5,000 a year)
Lead platforms

$90 to $190 per lead, about 5% of emailed leads converting (SmartAsset, 2021 reporting). At $140 and 5%, one client costs about $2,800.

Our price does not move with your client mix.

With every channel above, your cost per client is a gamble tied to who walks in. With us, it is one flat $1,500 a month, no matter what kind of clients come in. No fee per lead. No revenue share. The more first meetings your site books, the less each one costs you.

Sources: SmartAsset lead pricing ($90 to $190 per lead) and the 5% conversion rate on emailed leads as reported by Kitces, July 2021; per-client acquisition costs by channel from Kitces Research as reported by Financial Planning (2019 study, more than 1,000 advisors, including the value of advisor time). The 1% fee assumption is the median up to $1M of assets per Kitces Research. Your numbers will differ.

Built for independent advisors, not wirehouses

We are not a full-service agency that also does advisor marketing. We are an advisor marketing company. Every page we build, every keyword we target, every piece of content we write is built around how independent firms actually win clients, and reviewed by your compliance officer before it goes live.

What we will NOT do with your advisor site

Some things you’ll never see from us. That’s on purpose, and your CCO will thank you.

WHAT WE BUILD

Custom design for your firm

Tailored to your niche, your fee model, and your metro. Not someone else's layout with your logo on it.

SEO baked into the foundation

Real keyword targeting, proper HTML structure, and schema markup from day one.

Your site on your domain, forever

You own everything we build. Leave anytime and take it all with you.

Compliance review before every page goes live

Your CCO sees it first. The git history is your dated archive.

Plain-English fee and process pages

What you charge, who you serve, and what the first meeting is like. The pages prospects and AI tools actually read.

Conversion-focused layouts

Every page has a clear next step. Tap-to-call, booking links, and forms placed where they actually get tapped.

WHAT WE DON'T

Template sites with your logo slapped on

Cookie-cutter layouts that look like every other advisory firm in the country. Prospects notice.

Keyword-stuffed pages that read like a robot wrote them

Walls of text crammed with "financial advisor near me" that Google, prospects, and your CCO all hate.

Sites locked into platforms you can't leave

Proprietary builders that hold your site hostage when you stop paying.

Performance claims or guarantees

No projected returns, no "guaranteed," no cherry-picked results. Ever.

Undisclosed testimonials and reviews

No "what our clients say" page unless your compliance reviewer approves it with the disclosures the SEC Marketing Rule requires.

Pretty brochure sites with no strategy

Sites that look nice in a portfolio but don't book a single consultation.

Every advisor website we build is custom-designed, SEO-optimized, reviewed by the firm’s compliance officer, and owned entirely by the firm. We don’t use templates, we don’t lock you into proprietary platforms, and we don’t build sites that sit on page seven of Google collecting dust.

What advisory firm owners say about Patrick's work

Through RapidWebLaunch, Patrick has built websites for advisory firms in Longview, Texas, and Denver. This brand is new, so these are web design projects, not SEO results.

This came out exactly the way I wanted, even given some additional tweaks I requested that I had failed to mention in our initial discussion. Would highly recommend.

Financial advisor SEO questions we hear every week

What you want to know before committing.

How long does SEO take to work for a financial advisor?

It depends on your metro and your niche. Searches like "fee-only financial planner [city]" or "financial advisor for physicians" are usually less competitive than the generic "financial advisor" term, and that is where we start. We typically see movement within the first 30 to 60 days and meaningful consultation requests within 3 to 6 months. We tell you upfront what to expect based on the actual search demand in your area.

How long does it take to get my advisor website live?

About two weeks, plus whatever time your compliance review takes. Day 1 is a 30-minute call. We do keyword research in days 2 and 3, design and build in days 4 to 8, and send every page to your CCO or compliance consultant before launch in days 9 to 14. You pay nothing until it is live.

Does SEO help me show up in ChatGPT and AI answers?

Yes. AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI build their answers from your Google Business Profile, your website, your listings, and what other sites say about you. That is the same ground SEO covers. We add structured data and clear question-and-answer content so AI can read you easily, and we check what the AI tools say about your firm every month. It is included in the $1,500.

What should an advisory firm spend on SEO each month?

We charge a flat $1,500 a month, and it covers everything: your site, hosting and security, local SEO, Google Business Profile work, on-page and technical SEO, AI search visibility, compliance pre-approval, call and form tracking, monthly reporting, and unlimited edits. No fee per lead, no revenue share, no setup fee, and no contract. See the details on our pricing page.

How do you handle the SEC Marketing Rule?

Every page we write goes to your CCO or compliance consultant before it is published, and we make whatever changes they ask for. We never write performance claims, projected returns, or guarantees. We never collect testimonials, endorsements, or reviews without your compliance sign-off and the required disclosures. Because the site is static HTML stored in git, you always have a dated copy of every version for your books and records. If you are a registered representative, the same process works with your broker-dealer’s principal review under FINRA Rule 2210.

Do you offer an SEO audit for financial advisors?

Yes, free. We review your website, your Google Business Profile, and where you show up against your top three local competitors, then send a plain-English list of what to fix first, including anything your compliance reviewer would likely flag. No cost and no commitment. Request it on our free audit page.

How do you track the prospects that come from SEO?

Every client gets a dedicated tracking phone number and tracked consultation forms. When a prospect calls or fills out a form on your site, we log it with a timestamp, the source, and the page they came from. You see it all in your monthly report. There is no guessing about where your first meetings are coming from.
